She is digging craters in my yard! Besides shooting her and feeding her to the Danes, how do I get her to stop digging?!
ETA: She was my Mom's dog. My Mom passed away not to long ago and my Dad was going to get rid of her. We decided to take her. Other than her obsession with fetching things a  " nd digging she is a good dog.

I have 4 female schnauzers right now and have had 3 others that have died over the years. Schnauzers have big hearts and they think they are superior to any other creature. When any of mine walk into our big dog pen outside, the big dogs give them room because of their attitude of "I am the boss."
Female Schnauzers take about 2 years to grow up. The destructive behavior will end then. |

ETA: It does not help that she is in charge of a 165 lb and 145 lb Great Dane. Walking them is ineresting. |

My wife's Schnauzer is a constant digger. I've tried yelling, water hose, foot up its ass, nothing works. Live with it or dig a hole big enough to bury it.
They are fearless little fucks though. Last January I brought home two rescue boxers to replace one that I had lost months earlier. The little fuck kept trying to pick a fight but I kept breaking it up. Finally I decided I'd had enough of this crap and just watched the next time the little Napoleon started some shit. Problem solved, Napoleon met his Waterloo. 
Fucker still digs though.

1. Clip her nails to the proper length (not too short). 2. Dump cheap cayenne pepper into her holes and fill them back in. 3. Do #2, then place a broad piece of coarse wire screen over the spot. (Edit: 'coarse', not 'course') I am going to try the wire thing. I have already peppered the areas. The only thing that did was get the grey Dane to sneeze |
