Hi,

My name is Jersey. I'm a 4 year old GSD, and I have a problem.

I have been diagnosed with BFTS. This stands for BIG FUCKING TAIL SYNDROME.

When standing on all fours, I am about 3 feet tall. This also happens to be approximate height of other things, like small children, coffee tables, end tables, dicks and balls, old ladies, and some import cars.

Unfortunately, my tail has the approximate girth of a baseball bat, and roughly the same mass.

This creates issues, because when I get excited, I have a tendency to clear entire tables, knock people from their feet, or even cause the airbags to deploy on some cars. All with my BFT.

Please help me.

My lab/GSD mix does the same damn thing.  Nothing on the coffee table is safe and there's a section of the christmas tree at about 3'6" with no ornaments left.

Please send all dog tails to China.  They need food.

The joys of dog ownership.

One of the reasons I dig breeds that are typically clipped and bobbed.

Buddy of mine has a boxer. It's strange looking when his nub is wagging wildly for some reason.

It took us several broken crystal icicle ornaments to get the Christmas tree danger zone message from our lab/GSD mix.

Invariably, the nub starts swinging but there isn't enough weight behind it, so the entire butt ends up wagging

My Golden had that problem his entire life.  He would clear the entire coffee table with it.  My GSD will run right over anything or anybody in his way, but his tail never bothers anything.

Good looking dog by the way.
