Why in the motherfucking blue fuck can't a GD 800 fucking dollar piece of bullshit Nazi fucking Bosch dishwasher come with every fucking possible hose, fitting, Teflon fucking tape, accessory that a stupid fucking stubborn ass middle aged do it yourselfer might reasonably need to install the GD fucking thing?
I mean what the fucking fuck? I'm on my 3rd GD trip to the local Ace (TM) fucking hardware! Fucking Asshole Germans |

They're all that way, actually Whirlpool is probably worst of all since switching from pipe thread to hose thread on their intake valves. ETA - each home is different, and the manufacturers don't want to pay for every possible installation part & accessory for every imaginable installation scenario. |

Sigh, sometimes those who consider themselves a "do it your selfer" would do themselves a favor if they DIDN'T try to install something they have never installed before. There is a reason I carry around $100,000 worth of stuff in the vehicle. And I STILL don't have everything I need all the time.
Teflon tape is for amateurs BTW. |

Yes, I see so many more leaks on teflon tape a few years after install as compared to pipe dope it's not funny. Also, people tend to use teflon tape where one is not supposed to a lot more then dope, it's for pipe threads only just like dope is. For some reason, it seems to very popular on flared fittings. |

rulz iz rulz: http://i961.photobucket.com/albums/ae94/redfish86/picsofwife.jpg to all of you naysayers, I'm a GC. I've prolly watched my plumbers install 500 dishwashers over the years. Obviously watching does not equal doing! I knew what I was getting into but was too stupid to plan ahead by expecting the worst. The flex copper that was on the old dishwasher couldn't make the sharper bend required by the front location of the water supply on the Bosch (which ruined the compression fitting). That was the second trip. The first trip was me being stupid and ignoring the outside of the box which clearly stated that I needed a 3/8" NPT 90 deg fitting. I'm a guy. Of course I know better than the directions! The third trip was for the braided flex water supply line after I tried to force the flex copper and finally crimped it. Fuck it I said and gave in to the almighty SS braided wtare supply line. Your dishwasher seems to working properly in this picture . |
