I inherited a couple of allmost new US Military Parkas. They say Parka, Cold Weather, Camoflage ECWCS. I want to use them for hunting but they are loud as heck. Anyone got an idea how to soften them up and quiet them down?

I don't know how you could make them silent. They're very nice for sure though. We called them gortex's when I was in. There are hidden pockets on the chest each side of the zipper.

In the British army we would wear goretex under our wind proofs when being all secret squirrel .
Wind proofs are un lined cotton gaberdine field jackets and pants

Nobody with a suggestion? Guess I will trade them on the EE for M65 type field jacket.
