Well, not in Texas for turkey day. Knew that liberal land had no clue how to cook chili when I saw a can in the store that said "chili with beef and beans" , but did not understand the half of it till super at the inlaws tonight. I honestly think they must have read some of the chili threads here because what we had was a parody of chili.
It was a tomato based bean soup. They stretched 1lb of beef to feed 9 people and still have left overs(honestly, I saw the package). I had a large bowl (partly just to "express" myself tomorrow - but am already doing that now. The bowl might have had a whole once of meat in it. I wish people would just be honest. A bowl of beans is not chili. Sorry no pics. I was going for my camera, but the he'll to pay was not worth it. |
