How many people did BATF bust for smuggling guns to Mx?

All I remember reading about is # of guns sold & agents killed.
Just wondering how "successful" op was.

I'd also liked to know how many other operations we estimate there were.. I know of Castaway, and that's it.

Sorry OP, can't help you.

I think that if it was successful, they'd be tripping all over themselves pointing to 'the' arrest they made.

I don't think they arrested anyone.  They let the guns and perps walk in hopes of catching 'the big fish'.  The problem was that the guns walked across the border and they had no join operation or communication with the Mexicans.  How is that an operation, other than gun running?

That was the whole point of the operation, letting the buy walk away and hopefully the guns would be found later, letting them figure out all the people in between. Of course, it was like just about everything else this administration has come up with: a retarded idea.

Watching congressmen question upper DOJ management, I kept waiting for someone to ask what the success of the operation was. Out of the thousands of "leads" they initiated, how many did they find later & find all of the people in between. Seems all they found were the dead bodies that guns were left near, and the one assassin who wasn't home when they raided & found F&F guns left behind.

If this is now the second such operation, that we know about, how successful was the previous operation? Why do we our lawmakers just suggest someone should resign over this. If we did something like this we would be under the jail.

KQED / NPR had a piece on this yesterday afternoon and said that the whole Fast and Furious program was a program carried over from the Bush administration and that the Obama administration was no more involved than trying to correct the problem. Not a joke or a troll, they really did.

I now see where the Asst. Atty. Gen is running his mouth upon what he knew and when. Has he been chosen to fall on his sword to protect
Eric Holder?

Fox had a report, 20 arrest, all but one back on the street within 24 hours.

I don't know but these are crimes, plain and simple. Can you imagine the consequences if any other misaligned and unconstitutional organization commited these nefarious acts?

I can barely resist the urge to continue as the outcome will undoubtedly result in at least one CoC violation and my subsequent admonishment from the Staff.

From what I have read, the program greatly accelerated under Obama and became the abomination/disaster it is today. IIRC under Bush it was aimed at the smugglers, not the drug kingpins.

I'm going to say it was about 20 dead Mexicans for every person they are prosecuting-you do the math. Apparently that is an acceptable ratio when you are trying to commit treason by undermining the Constitutional rights of the American people.
