Droid X- I am at work which has wireless. When I select the network, it asks for the password which I know I am entering correctly.
It says I am connected to the WiFi
Now my WiFi and network signal are white and not blue like they normally are.

I go to access a website and nada.

If I shut off the wifi and use 3G everything is fine just slow to load.

Any ideas?

Are you getting a proper IP address from the DHCP server?  I had an AP start passing out crap a few weeks ago and had to reconfigure it from it's original config.

Shut down your phone completely and then try again.  If it doesn't work then I'm betting it's a problem with the AP.  Are you using WEP to secure the AP by any chance?

Droid X has been known to have issues connecting to wireless networks.  Google it.

Mine did the same thing when I first got it.  I can't remember what exactly I had to do to reconfigure it but it had be perplexed for a couple of days.  I seem to recall finding the answer in a google search.

White 3g means you don't have a fully dedicated connection because the phone is still syncing with Google.

I'm not sure what white WiFi means but it's probably got something to do with syncing..

You do this for a living, don't you?

And I should probably add that my older iPhone 3G connects to the work WiFi no problem.

Still stumped.........

I had never seen it until the Gingerbread android update update. It will be interesting to see if it goes away with Ice Cream Sandwich
