Arfians;
The other day I was thinking (Oh noze! Hide the wimmen-folks! ), whereas Joel is from The City That Never Sleeps, the seat of culture, where there are so many art museums and concert halls that you can’t swing a dead Democrat without hitting one.
Now I, of course, have absolutely no bias at all one way or the other (other than to note that it sounds like Springer hasn’t cleared his throat in 15 years, while Joel has a voice that is clean, clear, and strong). But again, I think you can tell alot about someone based on which one they pick. Springer sings about stuff more in tune with your average blue-collar dock worker, whereas Joel touches on alot of the eternal questions of what it means to be a man. Too, Joel can almost bring a tear to your eye, with his songs about unfulfillable longing that make your heart ache, while Springer mostly makes you want to get drunk, leave your wife, and/or blow your brains out. Again, I, of course, have absolutely no bias at all one way or the other (Billy Joel nailed Christie Brinkley! |

And both SUCK, musically speaking. WAT And who would you offer up that's better? Please don't tell me one of those kiddie-rock bands like Poison or Ratt...How old are you, sir? Serious question, with all due respect. 47, so I was around for the start of both of 'em. And to be severly disappointed with most heavy metal... |

And yes, I was around to see him start out, too! Serially, do you really think he has more talent than the Joelster? Howd'yafigger?

Joel by a long shot, Springsteen isn't even close. Word as for my opinion. And as far as raw musical talent is concerned they aren't in the same league. Joel has written symphonies, collaborated on musicals, and his resume goes on. My vote went to the Piano Man |

Quoted: I don't dislike Billy Joel, but I've been a huge Springsteen fan since I was 13. No comparison. Billy Joel writes pithy little pop tunes and Springsteen is writing poetry. WOAAAAOOAOAOOOHH WE WERE SEVENTEEN AND WOAAAOHAOAOAAAH WEEENDY OH WEEEENDY HIGHSCHOOL WOAAAOHAOAOAOOOAHAOHOH |

Both have songs that I like and both have songs that I dislike.
Joel has more talent, he has a better voice and he can play the fuck out of a piano. So, my vote is to him. That said, this song is the fuckingest awesumest fucking song ever.

joel, springsteen, mellencamp, they all stink worse than a festering pile of new york garbage. And AGAIN, I come back to, who the flock do you think is better? Are you a classicist? We talking Who? Hendrix? Styx? Stones? (Styx & Stones may break my bones, but Rumors will never hurt me...)
Or are you going back even further? Bach? Strauss? What? WHAT THE FLOCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?????????????? GIVE ME SOME CONTEXT, GODDAMMIT!!!!!!!!!!!111!!!!!!! ![]() |

Too, both are from nearly the exact same neck of the woods, save that Springer is from that toxic, corrupt armpit known as Joisey (has ANYthing good ever come from there? Snooki? ), whereas Joel is from The City That Never Sleeps, the seat of culture, where there are so many art museums and concert halls that you can’t swing a dead Democrat without hitting one.
Actually....... Billy Joel is from Hicksville, Long Island (somewhat near the Nassau/Suffolk border.) Oh, and "The piano man" for the win! |

I like a lot of Billy Joel tunes as well. |
