Tired of having tools in a bunch of smaller tool boxes. I would like to get a rolling tool box. I'm not a mechanic so don't think I need a huge Snap ON or such.
I know the usual suspects....Sears...Northern Tool...Horror Freight. Am I overlooking a good place to look for a metallic rolling tool box? Online? Any good experiences or brands or stores to avoid. ? Any help appreciated. |

I dropped a car off at a shop the other day where one of the guys had the 41inch harbor freight box. He loved it. I've heard nothing but good things about them. If I had to move my snap on again I'd get the harbor box for home. Harbor freight has their big box on sale for 20% off right now. It looks plenty solid enough for home use. I wouldn't hesitate to get one if I needed one. ETA...My box is a craftsman. It works just fine |

Hangs with a Craftsman. Pretty impressive. Which maybe now they are both made in China. I know some Craftsman stuff is made in China. ETA: I can't justify Snap On price for household crap. |

I have also read good things about strictlytoolboxes.com garagejournal.com has a lot of info and reviews. |

Very highly rated on Garagejournal.com, the arfcom of tools. |
| Another +1 for harbor freight. I got the big red bottom box that they sell. It is double walled and weighs quite a bit but the castors are a decent quality so it rolls fine. So far it has proven to be a stable box and the drawers are still smooth with no issues after 1 1/2 years of use. Mine was the display model so I gave a little under $300.00 for it and could not be happier. |

I have never had any issues with the Craftsman toolboxes that I own, one is over 20 years old and still looks new. Get a little bigger than you think, like gun safes they fill up fast..... That's the thing - Craftman's quality has gone downhill, fast, these last 10 or so years. |

I just bought one and made it into a rolling compact reloading station. It seems to be made well to me. I have thousands of rounds of ammo and reloading supplies in the drawers and it is handling them fine. |
