Available on Netflix streaming....damn good movie. Based on a true story about 8 SAS soldiers sent into Iraq to destroy comm lines. The Brit SAS guys are hardcore.

There's some embellishment in the stories (both McNab's and Ryan's if the author of The Real Bravo Two Zero is to be believed), but yes, even without some of the possible BS stuff, it is pretty hardcore. Chris Ryan's roughly 190 mile escape and evasion (all alone) from near Baghdad all the way to the Syrian border, is mental. |

Take it with a grain of salt. The guy who wrote it is not held in high esteem by his colleagues. Still a great story and decent action flic though. I read a review once that said it's the most realistic war movie. The tactics were based off real stuff instead of Hollywood made-up bullshit. Course, this movie isn't American made. |

Watched it last night. Thought it was average. The gun-play was not particularly sharp for instance the M203 effects were way off. (they made them sound like rockets: whooosh versus the THUUUNK they actually make when fired...) Fair amount of war cliches in there as well. Not a must-see by any stretch. The actually story is an amazing one, no doubt. The movie is a bit lacking IMO. 4073 |

I don't want to give any spoilers, but it's too bad that there was so much "bad blood" amongst the team members regarding the account of the events. |

i saw it and I liked it. http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c106/Jankap/BravoTwoZero/bt9m.jpg However, it mainly centers on Andy McNabb (played by Bean) and fails to mention much about their medic, Chris Ryan, who was the only one that escaped, and has the honor of enduring the "longest escape and evasion in SAS history" - almost 300 miles. And what's weird is that Ryan got sick during the escape from drinking water contaminated by nuclear waste. Makes ya wonder. |

There questions between the Regimental Debrief and what was written in McNabb's and Ryan's books, especially as it relates to Vince Phillips. Read Asher's book it explains it. Then make up your own mind after reading all three. |

The area they went through to get to Syria was the Al Qiam region; there was a WMD production facility out there by the train station. |
