Quoted: and you can't buy it as a civi. tried and told to foad. Yes you can through secondary market. About two years ago I had 5,000 rounds of 9mm sims I got off gunbroker. I lost my patience finding a sims glock and sold the rounds off. I should have waited as summitgunbroker and gunbroker.com had sims guns for sale a few months after. |

Sims are a fantastic training tool for FOF scenarios.
I did a 4 day class at DARC recently where we fired about 1K of sims each. Details can be seen here They don't hurt untill you start getting hits on bare skin or fingers, or in my case till you get 7 or 8 hits on the same chunk of the arm. For my fellow civilians, please be careful purchasing aftermarket sims. They are still very dangerous and this does not need to be something that gets legislated due to idiots. |

and you can't buy it as a civi. tried and told to foad. There is no law against civilian ownership, problem is most companies won't sell. I get to play with sims sometimes. Saying sims are like paintball is like saying baseball is like wiffleball. Those fucking things hurt like a bitch even with PPE. There are some very valuable lessons to be learned doing force on force with the gun you would normally carry. |

pistols use a different barrel that cant chamber live rounds and ARs use different bolts They fucking hurt. Way worse than paintball. That said, its still pretty fun. The different bolt for AR's works similar to a rimfire, so it wont fire regular 5.56 This. They also leave scars. Ask me how I know.
