Yeah they were stylish when I was about 13 years old.  I had one.

Used to wear Swatch from high school to mid thirties.  Watches would work, just got rid of them because the bands had issues or sick of the same thing when battery ran out.
Great watch if you can still get them, I've switched over to the Tier 1 Timexeses from Target.  I'll be 44 Thursday.

Oh yeah I had a couple.

One was kind of a tacticool watch of it's time.

That one in the pic is kind of like it. Mine was an all black case, instead of clear. And a crappy vinyl band.

(pretty good watches for the money, always were better (longer lasting) than comparably priced watches) (like timex)

Yep, if you want them you've got 48 minutes people.

Swatch owns Omega and many other brands.  The holding company is huge, even though the "Swatch" brand is a cheap niche.

They also own some movement manufacturers like ETA(nice Swiss auto movements) that are installed in many, many, different brands... I believe Swatch is the largest watch maker on the planet.

Is there a bad Swiss watch?

Rado maybe.

That's a good looking watch.

My best friend in LA made a huge pile of cash off the "Swatch Gaurd" the prototypes were made from some o rings that I had laying around.

Yeah, and the joke. What would be it's name if it were made in Croatia?

Swatch has a store in Northpark here in  Dallas.

The first time I saw it I got excited.

Then I saw a bunch of generic seiko looking watches and tag knock offs for 400 bucks.

I repeat.  A $400 Swatch.

I want my black mirror one with a neon orange dial protector back.

The time was 6 o'clock on the Swatch watch
No time to chill, got a date, can't be late
Hey, the girl is gonna do me
Move to the Jacuzzi, ooh, that booty
Smack it up, flip it, rub it down, oh, no!!!

Fuck Swatch.

Yeah, it's long over, but fuck them and their illegal marketing ideas. I'll never buy anything with their name on it. Hell, I wouldn't even take a free one.

Had a 1994 Olympic Centennial Commemorative. The band delaminated at the buckle holes, so it looked like ass after the first month...

I had one of the first with a leather band (I hated the rubber bands) and solid silver face.

I still have it somewhere.   Great watch in the day.
