Probably one of the few guys who could get away with wearing girls clothing and still get more women the most guys. And a really good singer.

To be fair it isn't women's clothes. There was a new romantic movement going on in the New Wave scene at that time. That movement was trying to bring back the fashion and culture of the 16th and 17th century. It of course included those types of clothing, aristocratic behavior, and the debauchery with class that was common in those days, as well as some makeup on men to conceal poor skin etc.  Adam Ant comes to mind as a white musician, and Prince was doing the same thing, as did Hendrix before him ( who he was copying to a degree ), when the movement started taking root in the 60s. Look at the clothing that some of the bands in the 60s wore, very similar.

Musically, Prince is one of the most talented all around musicians of out time. I think he was proficient with about 12 instruments by the time he was 15 years old. Great writer as well, and launched the careers of many musicians under other names, like Jamie Starr etc. Manic Monday by the Bangles is one. the guy is awesome.

My favorite musician, hands down.  If it is a style of music, he can compose it and play it on about any instrument you can name.  He is a truly gifted musical genius.

I thought he was gay.

Edit:  in reference to OP saying he could get more women...

I've always respected the guy and his music.
You have to admit, when you hear a prince song, you KNOW it's a prince song. There's no mistaking him for someone else so he's very unique.

I LOVED the story about prince and basketball on the Chappelle show.

I can't say he is my favorite, but his great talent as a composer, singer and musician can not be denied. Seems he can do every thing very well.

Nope.  He is extremely hetero.  The list of hot chicks he has been with is incredible.  Of course, they are very short, but so is he.

We had his folks come into our resturant once.  (It's located near a certain recording studio.)  They said they wanted a house account.  This is page 6 code for Prince will grace you with his presence in exchange for free food for him and his entourage.  We suggested they buy gift cards if they don't want to be scene paying a bill.  Prince doesn't eat at our restaurant.

But yes, you can't deny his genius.

I'm a fan.  Had the pleasure of seeing him live once, would go again if the opportunity presented itself.
