I need a new pair of BDUs and field jacket for the upcoming hunting season. Right now my two big choices are marpat and multicam. I'll be hunting with a slightly fudd buddy of mine in the forests of south Georgia. I'll be doing my hunting with a AR so the last thing I need is for my buddy to be nagging me the whole time because of the particular camouflage pattern.
I know I know. Pick what I want and don't give a shit what my buddy thinks. I'll probably give him the finger and use the multicamies because of its versatility. What the hive say? Poll to follow. |

no. the trend-seeking guys are already too sexy for multicam, too sexy for multicam, too sexy for multicam. they're like models ditching last year's handbags (the way i'm disco dancing!). i figure i'll stick with my ancient, abused chocolate chips until the flood of barely-worn multicam stuff hits the surplus store. too sexy for this post. |

What the hive say? Does it work the best in your AO?? If NO then get something else. If YES, stop being queer about it. You dont need DIVAs to figure it out for you. This. Whatever suits your AO best. German Aridfleck is not for wooded areas, as the name implicates it's for arid regions and might work in the Mojave desert. http://img801.imageshack.us/img801/7358/airdfleck.jpg True that. I have MOST of my stuff in the classic Flecktarn, since it's great for places with lots of Oaks and Pines. All my packs, and pouches are Fleck, only because I don't plan on being anywhere that would need the Tropentarn (Desert), or Arid camos... |

Not tacticool enough? Everyone wearing Multicam?
Google A-TACS! Costs just as much, if not more, than Muliticam! AIRSOFT MUST HAVE!!!
http://a-tacs.com/ It would actually work rather well in my neck of the woods, but we evil DoD contractors are not allowed to wear camo.

If you suit up to go to wal mart, gay.
If you suit up to go to the range, less gay. If you suit up to do some sort of training, possibly at a range, not gay. If you suit up to go into the woods and _________, good job. I don't give a shit what color it is, if it works for you, go for it. Oh, and if you want to suit up to go do grocery shopping, be my guest. Life is too short too give a fuck what I or anyone else thinks about your fashion choices. |

I've used multicam successfully when hunting. However, if I had my druthers, I would use a mossy oak, realtree or similar, modern 3D camo (for deer, especially).
I've been caught on the ground - up close and personal - a few times and it's been the "photo-styled" camo (with its detail & depth) that's kept me from being busted; even at less than 10 feet with them looking right at me! YMMV. But, unless you have a real legitimate and important reason for only owning one style camo (in which case I would go with the multicam), that's the way I'd go. Good luck! I'm fixin to start bending my bow and get myself back up to speed, real soon. I've been saving my pennies for some "lumenocks" (sp?) for this year... Yee-haa!!!!

I wore a mossy oak jacket with a Vietnam jungle tiger stripe shirt and multi-cam pants under my solid blaze orange vest and half camo half orange hat last year and bagged three deer.
I honestly think you can go out there in a clown outfit and be successful if you mind your scent, wind, and noise.
