Quoted: Nice piece. It would look great on a walking stick. I'm always hitting up garage sales and flea markets looking for vintage tools. I've had it for over 20 years and not once did I think of doing that with it. Excellent idea and it could be done without altering it. ![]() Tks. I used to work for an auctioneer and I love antiques, old car stuff, etc. I also know how contagious it is..which is why I stay away..she who must be obeyed wouldn't understand1 ![]() |

I heard they tried to launch Canadian Pickers, but there isn't much of a market for old fishing nets, Pop Shoppe bottles and snow shoes. I heard they tried to launch Nose Pickers but all they could find was agricultural workers during the off season. Ag workers must have been from Manitoba or Saskatchewan (farm belt). They obviously didn't go to Newfoundland. |

I watch American Pickers all the time because I love neat old stuff but having all that clutter would drive me crazy. So I live vicariously through those guys.
The one old thing I have is a hood mount I bought at a flea market years ago. I was told it came off a 1914 Pontiac..who knows. It was one of those "I gotta have it" moments. http://www.ar15.com/media/viewFile.html?i=31538 http://www.ar15.com/media/viewFile.html?i=31539 http://www.ar15.com/media/viewFile.html?i=31540 << Disclaimer..this isn't a "how much are you asking, will you take $50 for it? thread. if it turns into that I'll trash it!>> I'll give you $45 for it... |

| No pics here either. But I have a small metal box with feet, maybe 3inx3in. Something like a pill box or little nick nack box. Belonged to my mom. On the bottom it says....Made in Occupied Japan. Which dates it to the late 40's anyway. Don't know how long that designation lasted tho. |

Quoted: http://www.localnumber69.com/temp/Dogs_manroom.jpg First edition, first print complete set of the C. M. Coolidge "Dogs Playing Poker" series for my manroom, above that is a Japanese personal battle flag I nabbed. Are those worth anything? I'm pretty sure my father in law threw out several of those that belonged to his dad. |

I think the individual prints go for $100 or so each. Whole set is obviously much higher as a collection, I saw one online go on auction for $1500. |

It supposedly belonged to a distant uncle that served in the Spanish American War. |

I have an old hand pumped oil and transmission fluid cart.
You would fill a quart jar and the customer at the station could see they were buying a quart. It has a nozzle that swivels and when you're done filling the jar you spin the nozzle so it drips back in the tank. |
