What is the opinion of these little guns quality-wise? I know that ballistically they are pretty useless but do they function and are they reliable?

As a friend told me, these are basically a "get the fuck off me" gun should somebody get you on the ground.

The muzzle will go vertical every time you pull the trigger, great way to blow your hand off.

Mine works. I've got maybe 100 rounds through mine. It didn't work so good with Winchester Dynapoint. I think that was the brand that It kept having misfires.

Perfectly reliable. Effective is another matter.

The .22lr versions were fun and accurate, never shot a magnum version that didn't keyhole.

They are very well made, and yes, they are"get the fuck off of me guns."
I carry a .22 magnum one when I can't carry anything else,like in shorts and t-shirt.

I have one in .22LR and you do have to concentrate on holding on to them due to their small size, but I didn't have a problem with it going vertical.

I'd agree with Old_Painless's assessment of them.

I'd also agree with the assessment that they are a last, last, last resort to a carry piece.  They are easily concealable but not that much more than what I would expect from a Keltec.  .380 > .22

Unless, of course, you're at the beach in your Speedo and trying to CCW there.  (sorry for the visual on that)

I've got one. I bought it more for the novelty. Its hilarious to shoot.

The gun itself is a really high quality work of art.

I've been wanting to get one.  Next gun show I see them at, I'll be bringing one home.  Like the article says, I'd carry it around the neighborhood.  Sure, it doesn't have a lot of stopping power, but for keeping the stray dog away or making someone think twice, it's better than the gun you left at home in the safe.

 I haven't had that problem.

However,it's just a novelty IMO. Even though it's tiny = easily concealable,I reckon it to be of limited real world usefulness simply in terms of how much easier it is to deploy and shoot something much larger that isn't really any harder to hide: such as a P3AT. It's a fun curio and I have no doubt a .22 Mag delivered at contact range to the chest or face is going to ruin a day but I never actually carry the thing and have no practical use for it.

Thank you Old_Painless. That is a very informative report (like all your postings). I have been googling "NAA revolvers" but this never came up in the search results. Thanks again for your response and the link

Thank you all for your responses as well!

I have the WMR and don't have this problem.

These little beauties are for poppin' a cap at a bad guy and making them flinch, duck etc., so you can get in a good boot to the head.

I know I don't want to get shot at all. Not with a 44 or a 22.

They are much better than many make them out to be.

A mini gun is, and always will be, far better than a ballpoint, pen, a can of Pepper Spray, and screaming like a girl.

I would disagree with this.

Try wrestling with someone while pulling out a tiny revolver from your pocket and THEN cocking it and firing it effectively.

A GTFOM/backup gun should be a small DA or SA gun- revolver or auto in a caliber superior to .22

I've shot a friend's-seemed quite effective for its size.  Penetrated the 2" width of a 2"x4".

Easy to handle, easy to use.  Probably a reasonable thing to carry if you really hate weight and bulk.

I bet they make a good boot gun, as a back up gun to your back up gun.  Great for travelling men and gamblers.

Very nicely made, almost jewelry-like- had a 22lr years ago- kept in my front top pocket- went through the wash twice, and airport security once (WAY before 911)- i just kept forgetting I had it on me.

Is there a .22LR cylinder available for the mag version?

Just make sure you can distinguish it from a lighter.

I have the 22 mag.  It sounds like a 9mm when fired

If found on the ground.

I bought one for a quick pocket gun. I also have it in my front document pocket when I'm on duty. I call it the "Noisy Crickett"
It has both 22lr and 22 Mag cylinders
I use the Winchester supremes
I tried the Dynamics. And they worked well. I was trying to hit a rubber duck at 50 yards and all came close.
.22lr are a hit and miss depending on brand.

If you are already in a grappling~ match i'd have to agree.

I traded a $100 pump shotgun for my 22 mag version.
While it functions fine it isn't easily employed IMO.

With rat shot it's entertaining to discourage water moccasins while fishing though

I've got the smallest one they make...no, they won't blow your hand off unless stupid kicks in...

I'm thinking about adding the folding grip to my mini...any pro's con's from those that have the folding storage grip?
