ANtime you get ANYTHING on Craigslist that doesn't sound like it was written by

a) you rneighbor
b) some redneck

It's not real. ANYTHING that involves ANYTHING other than a cash, FTF sale is a scam. It's really pretty simple.

Reply that you will send the info after he sends all the same info plus his bank account#, so you can deposit $1,000 of good faith money into his account showing you are serious about selling the boat

Tell them you will take the add down when you have been paid in full for starters. and then tell them the only forms of payment you will accept is either cash or USPS money order with a photocopy of his picture ID.

Anytime you post something for sale, state that the reply title should mention the color purple (or something random) or it gets sent to your spam folder.

I helped my ex-GF sell her car on craigslist, got 3 real replies out of maybe 25.
