| just bought an 04 excursion and the previous owner never used the key pad on the door to unlock the vehicle. is there anyway to find the code with out having to go to the ford dealership? |

no sticker on black box. i would keep looking for one, different boxes up there. i had to find one on a friends suv and we needed a mirror to see it. its a white sticker with black printed letters and if i recall right a barcode. This^ It's about the size of a CD case and will have a five digit code accompanied by a barcode. |

Yeah this sequence only works if the vehicle has never had the battery disconnected. Makes it tough on folks buying them second hand.
