Is it me or are about 99.9999999 percent of the threads about bad relationships in the Team Member forum?

Actually it makes sense when you think about ...
they actually pay good money to become a MEMBER on this site when they could do it for free ... how hard up for companionship do you have to be to pay to be a part of a group of people that you communicate to through a computer ... kinda pathetic actually ... |

And GD and other sub-forums are different because . . . ? The main reason for membership is to search. If I'm buying a new gun/gun-related product or looking for technical information, I search here first. |

I never go in there. Nor do I. There is far more adventure and ribaldry to be found in GD. GD is faster moving. Harder hitting. Cuts to the bone. More edgy. More dangerous. You refresh your page in GD and you never know what will pop up. Could be poop. Could be an urgent update from someone who just saw a nipple on TV. Could be something even more important. When I'm in GD, I know I'm on the cutting edge of human civilization and that the future can never sneak up on me. |

There are other features you get when you pay for membership. I don't go into the Team forum often for various reasons. |

That's a funny post, when you think about it. Are we hard up because we pay for companionship, or because we want the companionship? If it's the former, then let me educate you: I pay for membership because I have received much help from this site, and continue to use it as a reference, and more than not, it is my online "home"...and I was raised to believe that a man pays for what he uses. This site is a business, providing a service I enjoy, and I pay for the enjoyment I get from it––much like the cost for a tech manual, or a movie ticket. If it's the latter, then your statement is sort of ironic, considering you have over 3000 posts. |
