Not until ARlady pointed out that is how you can tell you have new messages. First time I ever opened it I had about 30 messages and most were months old.

Yes, for [b]incoming[/b] IMs only! It's not working for [b]outgoing[/b] IMs, all I get is a 'Sorry, But That User's Mailbox is Full' message!

Even though that user's mailbox is not full!

I know, I've checked!

Always.  I notify thread authors if I've acted upon their thread via IM.  Theoretically faster, and more personal/less public than simply posting on the board.

Sometimes we Mods,Staff/Admin chat over IM also.  Guess about what. [:D]

No one chats with [u]me[/u] over IM, [b]raf[/b]!

They send me IMs, but it's pretty much a one way conversation.

I wind up having to send them an e-mail or sometimes I'll actually post a reply to a thread I know they're on!

So, I'm just out in the cold, IM-wise.

I use it.  I just wish it were more noticable because I always seem to see it the next day unless I am expecting it.

I never see it blinking.. but I have had a couple IMs... would rather use AOL IM or MSN/Windows Messenger if they have it...
