Anyone got thoughts on inflatable kayaks for those of us who do not have the capacity to lug a hardshell kayak?
Thinking of getting an Advanced Elements Advance Frame inflatable kayak. I don't have a car so I can't go with a hardshell; I'd need an inflatable. Amazon has it on sale for $399 (shipped); regular price is around $470 from REI. Reviews on both sites are uniformly good. Use will be light. Probably use it 2-4x per year, on mostly small freshwater lakes. I'll be mostly fishing and paddling around on it with my buddies. Edit: obviously, I will also need paddles and a pump. It appears that the optional "backbone" is also a must-have. Thanks in advance! |
