Is there anyway to run Microsoft outlook on a droid X? I hate the gmail inbox grouping by conversation and I want to be able to make appointments compatible with my other computers.

look into google calendar sync. maybe i misunderstand the question, but i have my work computer setup to sync with my gmail account, then that syncs with my phone

Try a different mail program? K9 Mail or something similar. That's going to be the equivalent to Outlook.
