Interesting that the "sheen" is discontinuous about 1/3rd of the way from the cockpit to the rear of the "fuselage".

The only thing that would make that cooler is if it had just made

a bomb drop over Iran.

I don't have a problem with it but hope they use it in part as training mission

I'd love to see a B-2 in person.

I've seen F117s and F-22 though, that was cool.

One of the coolest looking things in the sky.
Easy to see why people in the desert thought they were seeing UFO's.....in that era, who would have ever expected a plane to look like that?

Thanks for posting....excellent pic

2 billion per copy, I believe.

I'm a diehard "equip them with the best kinda guy", but even my pen comes to a screeching halt at that number.

When I first enlisted, we were building entire Nimitz class aircraft carriers for 4 billion.

When you pay for R&D to buy 120 bombers but then slash the buy to 20, the unit cost is astronomical.  We were offered additional airframes at $500M/copy which would have been a decent deal for such a large and complex aircraft.  We made the same mistake with the F-22, paying the program costs for 700+ aircraft, and then only buying <200.

I have gotten a very close look at one while it was in phase at Whiteman.  Very neat aircraft.

I saw one attached to a KC135 over my house about a year ago...I found that odd due to my proximity to their base.
