I have a Frigidaire over the range microwave at one of my rentals. It will come on all by itself and the timer will be set at 8 minutes. When you shut it off it reads a digital code SE. Unless you clear the SE it will not come back on. Any ideas. Are microwaves repairable or are they a throw away item? It's about 2 years old and I paid around $250 for it.

My nuker fritzed out after a power outage once.
Try unplugging it, waiting a minute and plugging it back in.
If the board is toast, it's probably cheaper to replace it.

I hard wired the sucker when I installed it. This will give me a good reason to mount a box and a rec. and plug the microwave in. Won't hurt to try.
Thanks

There might be corrosion (or who knows what) on the keyboard PCB.

We had a microwave at work that "went crazy" because a roach made a short.
