How do I get on a fax spam list?

If I don't receive a fax every month, my free fax number gets deactivated.

Maybe I should just sign up for a new number every time I need to receive a fax (which is very infrequent)...

what's your number and how many reams of paper do you have

Sign up for two free accounts, set them up to send a fax to each other automatically

Can't send, can only receive.

Since I'll be receiving all these faxes electronically, I practically have 87 trillion reams of paper.

I get them all the damn time. No idea how I got on the spam list. Post it as a business one? I'm sure someone will send you vacation stuff, health insurance stuff, et al.

I made the mistake years ago of "registering" my new fax machine with HP. Within 48 hours I was on multiple spam lists getting vacation offices and health care plans from "corporate". Screw you HP!

I get about 10 spam faxes a day. It really goes through the paper and ink. Be careful for what you wish for.

No paper or ink to worry about here.

They demon dial whole blocks of phone numbers with a system that doesn't send anything, but logs every number with a fax carrier tone.  Then, when they've got a list of good ones, they spam the shit out of them.  No amount of complaining does any good, the companies that do it are aware that it is illegal and they don't care.

The FCC is tits on a boar when it comes to shutting down real nuisances, they'd rather just harass the law abiding.  They're good at that.
