I like the idea of the self healing target set up in the AR 15 store but don't like the idea of always having to reset it after it falls.

I would love something that is reactive and resets itself or can be reset by a round hitting in a certain area.

Just looking for some suggestions and figured who better to ask then people who truly enjoy shooting guns

Would like something that can be used for both AR and handguns (22, 9, 357, 40, 45)

GO (hey it works when Mark does it )

I really enjoy shooting balloons filled with water or a little bit of flour.  Easy to clean up and pop nicely.

This is a good idea Thanks!

Still would like a reactive targeting system but balloons will be fun!

The other self healing reactive targets look like fun as well, will have to pick up a few of them.

I would like something that has some height to 4-6 ft tall or something adjustable.....

Academy Sports sells a wide variety in their stores.  There is one that's made of a plastic/rubber (self healing/sealing). You can bounce it around a berm all day long. They have some for sale on their website as well.

Go to Aldis or some other cheap place and pick up bags of apples or potatoes, charcoal briquettes work well to.

Lots of other ideas in these threads.

You can pick up a case of bottled water at Wally World for about $4.

If you really want to go whole hog, you can also buy some food coloring for probably a buck or two.

One target I've become fond of is an empty coffie can upside down on a metal post. Mostly I've used this with .22, 9 mm and .45 handguns at short range. I've found that the target tends to spin or move after it is shot to hell, at least if you hit the post. Sometimes the can jumps off the post and I have to reset it, but there are few resets needed for dozens of shots fired.

Wouldn't be good with 5.56, the post would be gone fast.

Those look like they could be some fun. Might have to give them a go.

Those were the ones I was mentioning that Academy had. Pretty neat. I may pick one up.

Me and a few friends will fill 2 liter coke bottles with water and add food color. Freeze over night in a chest freezer. Take to our shooting spot where we stretch out our long guns. Cut off the plastic bottle and just leave the 2 liter ice chunk.
Makes a nice splatter when hit with a .303 British or something similar.  No scoped rifles allowed.

And no mess to clean up afterwards.

Your grocery store should carry a line of boxed, biodegradable bulleyes.

This is what I use. Disc about $10-20. I'd like to find a smaller spinner.

Ops, image nor there.
