What are the essential iPhone apps.  For example, is there a calendar app that is similar to the old Palm software?  The one that comes on the phone is pretty pathetic.

Try photosynth. It does a pretty good job of stitching photos together for a 360 deg. panorama. And it's free!

How about a calendar app that isn't as miserable as the standard one?  There are hundreds, and I can't seem to find one that gets good reviews.

Anything to help with productivity?  I'm not into video games, but thanks for the recommendations.
