I now feel like a super dork: I couldn't read past the first paragraph. Obi-wan never fought against the Galactic Empire; He only fought against Vader (Anikin) twice. As soon as Palpatine issued "General Order 66" he sure as hell was. And when he dissolved the Senate, all that did was make what was already done official.
