I FUCKING HATE THEM!
So my buddy texts me last night and says he's gonna stop by the liquor store and pick up a 5th of jack when he comes over. So he finally drags it out and it was too late by the time he came over and he didn't buy any jack. Fuck. I've got no jack daniels on this Sunday afternoon. 
Looks like I'm either going to have to tear into the Single Barrel or go get some beer. |

| A week ago to this minute I was scampering to find a liquor store open that didn't close before five. I found one, but realized I forgot my wallet, and only had a twenty in my money clip. Not enough for a bottle of JD, so I got a litre of Evan Williams Sour Mash for $13. As a mixer it's not terrible. |

I usually sleep 'til noon on Sundays, so I was not aware of that.
No sales in Ros-hell on Sunday? I knew there was something I didn't like about that town.

| Coincidence that you post this topic OP. Last week I was going to start a thread on how ridiculous dry counties are but I never got around to it. When I was in Texas, you couldn't buy alcohol on Sundays until around noon. That was a while ago so it might have changed. |

He forgot to tell me the county it was in was dry. We drove 20 minutes to go buy beer.

Blue Laws are generally based on religion... If you don't want to drink booze or buy booze on a Sunday, more power to ya! If you want to prevent others from doing so, well, fuck ya! (by you, I don't necessarily mean, you. Unless you support blue laws...) |

In honor of this thread I think I'll go to the local liquor store.
I'm thirsty. And to the earlier poster about the "other" blue laws, no fucking hunting on Sunday? Jeebus. I never heard that one. Of course, Virginny really hasnt made up it's mind if it's a yankee state or a proper Southern one.
