Please unlock psycho dude troll thread for two minutes so I can be "in" on that and go on with my day before the final judgment.

I missed that thread, and may never be able to forgive myself. I clearly should have woke up sooner and apologize.

My day will not be the same unless I am permitted to be "in" on that particular thread.

Thank you.

it never ceases to amaze me how people insist on their "Rights" to free speech on a private entity, and AFTER they agree to a certain Code of Conduct.  That said.. How long before this guy joins the Fail Train on  that "Other" site with the covey of dipshits who have also been banninated from here over the past few months???  I've said it before, a Buddy of mine got banned here a couple of years ago, and ended up at FA, and he usually sends me links to some of the more outlandish shit on there, jsut for giggles.  I've noticed dosmehting though they have COMPLETELY hijacked that entire board with Arfcom whining.  So far i've seen about half a dozen people that admit they fucked up and deserved theit ban..everyone else is still whining about the Cop-loving Nazis" here on Site Staff.  I Just dont get it.

Meh, 6/10 on the entertainment chart; too much 'alrighty then', not enough lulz.

That's Walsh and his quote from me is accurate. I originally 'warned" him for calling a police officer a "Barney fife' then got a long IM screed where he said I had better keep the other person out of any of his threads. I locked him figuring he would calm down. agree to leave the other guy alone and i'd unlock him. He sent a bunch of e-mails similar to what you see here to Ed and Striker so I finally told him I didn't think he was going to cut it out. I really do hate to lock someone over such minor name calling but I don't see this person behaving himself if I let him back.

The only problem I have is that this is little different than a police officer refusing to give someone their drivers license back because he doesn't see the driver keeping his vehicle under the speed limit.
I thought it was up to the judge to decide things like that.

Other than that...  the guy did sound a little obsessed.

Oh, and IBTL

Calling a cop barney get's a warning? Was this in bots? Maybe I could see it then, maybe.

Problem with people like that is when you accidentally become the focus of their ire in real life.  Yes, he needs help, but the people who have to be involved with him in real life are probably sick to death of the guy.

I'm betting the "Barney" comment was the tip of the iceberg.  He either said something to a mod in a PM (which seems likely considering his own rambling rant) or he's just become more problem than he's worth.  I'm betting on both.

Correct––I have no involvement, but he's not banned for the post, rather for the following meltdown.

I'm leaving for another wonderful weekend in Missouri, so you guys try not to break anything.  Be careful!

I'm in no way questioning the ban, it was bound to happen. I was just curious if referring to a police officer as Barney Fife is a CoC violation in itself or what kind of extenuating circumstances are needed to get a warning for that.

This is the thread that was locked, then unlocked by Aimless but then was locked again!
http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=1&f=5&t=1187174

How was it?   It was very odd to read a thread that was locked than all of a sudden became unlocked so Aimless could explain himself.

It was very strange to read Walsh's replies to his bannanation.  Actually, it was kind of sad to see another man act like a child over something so trivial.
