Many of you rember a few weeks ago I layed out a revolutionary plan to command and control our toops in the field, using a network of comsats in geostationary orbit powerful enough to focus on an area of the battle space of approxamately 1 km2, and locators for units on the ground relaying heath and ammunition status of both individual soldiers and vehicles.
One key aspect to this plan not detailed in the previous thread is the construction of forward operating bases. It is vital the structures be erected in a matter of minutes, from airfields to power plants, to manufacturing plants. Now this is one aspect of the Command and Control, or C&C project that is lacking. Is there anyway we could develope onsite mobile manufacturing plants for the construction of HUMVEES and M1A1 tanks? Also resourse gathering would be vital as well for maintaing and supporting logistics. Does the US military own any mining facilities or oil refineries? Hastily constructed oil derricks and refineries on the battle field I believe would also be vital if they could not be caputred. |
