Quoted: I don't get it!! I drive right by a refinery on the way to a friends house almost every day and gas is MORE expensive here than MANY other places. WTF?!?! Distribution. Look into it. They grow million in dollars of Onion in Mason Valley Nevada, but just try and get those onions at a Reno Supermarket. They all go to stockton and are bagged and shipped out to who knows where.

The most reasonable explination I've heard to day is MONOPOLY! They are the only game in the region and you pay their price or GTFO! I DO see the difference state tax makes! |

I filled up last at $3.67. Yesterday morning it went up to $3.73. At the $4 mark, I am going to ask my boss to let me work from home one day per week. At $5, I am going to ask for another day to work from home. I commute at least 20 miles each way (40-45 minutes on average), and I drive another 5-10 during my lunch break. |
