It looks like that is the way I will have to go to transfer a HECK of a lot 35 mm and other photos to digital memory. I've used them before but between the thing of keeping the glass clean and the long start up time (40 minutes to do 25 photos), it soon fell to waste side.
But I am ready to try again, if out of desperation. Any suggestions, say under $100, 130 max? The Canon CanoScan LiDE2010 looks nice because among other things, I can carry it with me to work to get through this mountain....but if it is not picture quality, then it is useless. ____________________________________________________________ ("If necessity is the mother of invention, then desperation is the father."––Cdr. Right now, photos, from standard 35 mm to B/W press. Eventually, the negatives of the 35 mm. Eventually after that, both mine and the family's slide collection....even if the eckochrome has gone to red, which I suspect/fear.
Want to scan the photos so I can store them, show them to the subjects on the NET, and be able to get them into their scrap books (I'm old fashion about that). _________________________________________________________________ ("All right. My old man has a few year old cannon Flat bed he did a shit load of slides and 35 mm film on. I dont know the model but you can fit three strips of 35mm or 3 rows of slides. The supplied software would make a JPEG of each PIC or Slide. It worked out well.. as long as the film/slide was in good shape the jpegs came out good enough to show on a 48 inch TV.. |
