Wow the oil companies are going to have a year of mega record profits. This should give Asshole and Chief some good talking points. To bad the general public is not smart enough to know the reason is WE ARE PRINTING TO FUCKING MUCH MONEY. Sheesh.

Last time this came up it turned out they were getting a profit of about 8 percent.  And they don't have to pay the hired help for exploring and drilling in this country when the EPA tells them they can't.  They also don't have to pay for offshore exploration in this country because there is a moratorium.  Less jobs for the roughnecks and less jobs for the helicopter pilots to fly them out and back.  Less supervisors to pay.  In the end less overhead means more profit.  Sure wish they could use that money to find more oil.

They quote the dollar figure - a large sounding number - instead of the return on investment percentage or some other far more relevant statistic.

The EPA "Appeals Board" and their stupid "air quality" decision just cost Shell billions they don't get back - just because some know-nothing jackasses said so.
