My dad has a Nextel for work. This week, he had to change his voicemail because Nextel "changed the voicemail password" without his knowledge and he had to get the permissions from his boss to get into his voicemail. He said Nextel changed the voicemail to the password being your phone number without his or his boss' knowledge.
I've had the same Verizon VM password for seven years and I think they would tell me if the system were to change. I call BS. Did Nextel change voicemail passwords without your knowing it? |

We had to setup our voice mail again. Didn't need any password to do it. They did give a warning that it was going to happen. Then I call BS on my dad. I find it hard to believe Nextel would NOT update their VM without telling ANYONE. Thanks for the info. |

I dropped nextel and have straight sprint now but when I did have Nextel and they did any VM upgrades they sent me notifications ahead of time telling me I had a couple weeks before I'd lose saved VM's and would have to recreate my greetings. |
