Yes, yes, I know it's a Disney cartoon and all you big hairy testosterone-fueled manly men have no use for a Disney cartoon.  But this movie is awesome.  If any of you have even a little bit of a child inside you, you must give it a chance.

And the number one rated comment on youtube:   Word is they originally cast Tom Cruise to play Flynn, but he wouldn't come out at the end of the closet scene.

It's a great movie.  One of the best animated movies I've seen in years.

I refuse to watch Disney movies,  they're nothing but left-wing propaganda.

I never understood, in the original fairy tale, why the girl never cut off her hair, tied it to the bedpost, slid down the tower and escaped.

cause thats not the point of the story.  Same as why the screaming girl doesn't pull out the gun on the serial killer and blow his brains out.

My ladyfriend kept nagging me to watch it, so eventually I did.

And I really enjoyed it.

Disney doesn't make movies too often, so I don't think they can afford to screw it up.

This.  I can't stand the overdone facial moves.  Yes I get it, you are trying to express emotion.  Maybe Disney will challenge itself by making characters without eyebrows in the future.

Absolutely delightful movie, even better if your a fan of Disney classical hand drawn animation. A LOT of stylistic nods to the original Disney style and the only 3d movie that really captured the same "Magic" that Disney was known for.

My 4 yr old daughter didn't budge the first time we watched it.

Is there a non-3d version?  I've got nephews, a thing for blondes, and a motion sickness problem with 3d movies.

Took my 7 year old daughter to watch it at the movies.

We saw "Hop" this weekend too. Not as good as Tangled but decent.

Looking forward to "African Cats" later this month. She LOVES animals.

Calling a John Lassiter movie a Disney movie is a joke. It may have been made by Disney, but that's not why it's a great movie.

I'm hairy and testosterone-fueled but I didn't get the memo that I can't watch awesome Disney movies.

Animated movies are FTW!

How To Train Your Dragon, Despicable Me, Up!, Toy Story 3...the list goes on and on.

Wife wants to see this movie.  Hopefully it's great

A lot of these kid movies have stuff in them that appeals to adults.  They have to or they will not get the adults to sit thru the whole movie.

I love some Disney movies.

The Sword in the Stone, Robin Hood, The Jungle Book, Aladdin (Robin Williams was an inspired casting ).

I even thought Hercules was fun. Mainly because of Megara.

Now I've lost any 'e-cred' that I had, right?

Forget "pain sticks" and other Klingon-esque crap.

A true test of manhood/fatherhood is whether a "macho man" is secure enough in his manhood to watch a movie with his daughter.

My daughters like watching Pirates of the Caribbean (the 1st one), Raiders of the Lost Arc, and similar movies.  Oh, and my youngest girl loves Monsters Inc.  My oldest daughter had a longtime crush on Buzz Lightyear.

Yes, to be clear, *I* wasn't passing judgment on any man who enjoys animated films.  I don't really understand those who DON'T enjoy them, to be honest.  I've enjoyed nearly every animated film ever released and that includes the period of my adulthood before I had children.

But I knew there would be a few who would make a point to wax poetic about how they're much too tough to watch a cartoon.  And I figured there were some who don't have kids and wouldn't bother with Tangled since it's *girly.*  Didn't want them to miss out.   They might be surprised.

Really? Really? One of arfcoms favorite movies is princess bride. I think you just wanted to get away with posting a "girly" cartoon on a male dominated firearm message board.

Yeah, but The Princess Bride has sword fights, pirates, a giant and ROUSes.  And it's highly quotable.  All that adds up to a movie men can enjoy.

And why else would I post anything here?  If I suspect a certain percentage of the men here might be interested in something, then I post it.  Does anyone else do any less?    That's sort of the whole point of message boards.

Oh yeah.  And it's GD.  Not like I did it in the tech, survival or armory forums.
