| Like everybody here I read and hear about all the attacks, riots, beheading and general violence that goes on in the Muslim world. But what is really strange [for me anyway] is little to nothing like that happen here in the UAE. Beleive me...when the company decided to send me here a year ago I thought......great I'm fucked. No beer, no pork......and they are sending the biggest queer in the company to a place that frowns on queers. Hubby was very unhappy to put it kindly, and I told him that it was only for a short time [i lied....the company only sends me to places they can't get anybody else to work] Anyway...one year later and many beers later, I'm still in one piece and even have Muslim friends. And no problems what some ever.....matter of fact I have found that most of the Muslims here are nice people. So my question is why is everywhere else the Muslims are killing and rioting...but not here? |

They are being nice to you because women are for babies and boys are for fun. Either that or not all Muslims are uneducated fanatics: there are different versions of Islam (Sunni, Shiite) and within each of those different versions there are different interpretations of the Koran (just as there are different versions of Christianity and within each version there are different interpretations of the Bible). Some people take every word of the Bible literally even if it conflicts with what non-believers think is scientific fact, the same happens with the Koran, but the difference is a literal interpretation of the Koran justifies (to them) killing unbelievers etc etc.

| So, are you a queer with a husband, or did I just read that wrong? At any rate, I tend to believe that most people are nice no matter where you go. Some definitely more nice than others. Don't kid yourself though, Islam is a perverse religion. Some just take it more literally, or follow it more closely than others. |

There are areas of China where the men so outnumber the women that violence is significantly higher in those areas. Selective abortions and all will cause huge issues in China in the future. |

Back to the OP's initial inquiry. From what I understand is there are a lot of homosexuals in Islam. It's a "cool" thing to do. |
