I hate fast food.  I eat at McDonalds maybe twice a years, just enough to remind myself why I never eat there.

But I love me some Whataburger.  I don't know what they put in their food, but damn its good.  

The burger with BBQ sauce, onions, jalapenos and bacon is

I wish it was lunch time.

That steak sauce double they had earlier this year was da bomb.  That and the Chick-fil-A peach shake are the two limited time only specials that I really, really wish were permanent fixtures on their respective menus.

Whataburger is one the very few fast food restaurants I'll eat at.  Chick-fil-A and Taco Casa (B-Ham and T-Town area) are the only other two...

I drive 200 miles round trip to get 10 What-A Burgers/extra onions  at a time several times a year. Yep, it's wuff to me.

Triple meat, triple bacon, triple jalapeno, triple cheese Whataburger and large onion rings for this guy. Its a lot of food and is a bit costly for "fast food" but it's sooo worth it.

The biscuits and sausage gravy are also pretty good, just wish they'd give you more than one biscuit though. Their taquitos are to die too, especially when I leave work at 3:00am or later.

And I really don't count that as in the fast food category as McDonald's, JITB, Burger King, and the likes –– there is nothing fast about Whataburger. Maybe it's because I always seem to go in at peak times, but its a good wait time for me. I'm OK with it though, because none of the food sits under a heat lamp, except their maybe their fries.

Oh, and personal pet peeve. It's What A Burger, not Water Burger! Drives me crazy at time.s

I have to agree.  They have a damn good burger.  I used to go in for a Whataburger all the way, a Whatadog with mustard, onions, and chili and a larger order of fries.  Lately, I've been dropping the dog in favor of upping the burger to a double or triple.  I'm only 5 minutes (give or take depending on traffic) from 2 different What A Burgers.  I still go to the older one since that is the one at which I went when I was a kid.

Many years ago, What A Burger used to have something called the Hillbilly Steak Sandwich.  It was like a chicken fried steak or pork tenderloin on a long hoagie style bun, with a horseradishy cocktail sauce on top.  Dang that was good.

The ones that don't use too much salt on the food and scrape the old grease off the flattops are great, I agree.
