I saw that - very appealing as well. I'll be active on there, I'm sure. I am a charter aircraft consultant and manage folks' fractional aircraft shares. Awesome, welcome to the carzyness that is arfcom.
I work for a business that runs a little 135. Effin' A. What are you guys operating? |

Do you fly charters or any other type of commercial flights?
I basically plan folks' flights and find the most mission capable aircraft while saving them about 40% per flight (compared to their fractional shares, etc). When they don't have fracs, I act as a broker/consultant. All of that while maintaining a very high level of safety. I'm just a pilot as a civilian hobby and fly for one of the branches of the military on the weekends. I learned long ago that being a pilot for a living is a crappy way to make a living. |

I dont have anything to do with the charter department, but sometimes I see quotes we give out when we broker a flight on a Citation and then hear what they would have paid on their fractional. Its nuts how much NJ/CS charge per hour sometimes vs what we can get it done for. |

That's true. However, fracs make sense on one-ways, legs under an hour, etc. Plus, with a frac, they're paying a premium for a guaranteed asset. Charter is an on-demand service, hence why it's significantly cheaper. On a typical roundtrip flight, it's like shooting fish in a barrel. |
