Depends on what I guess. Generally they are good power tools. Milwaukee tools is another brand to look at.

More info please.

Given the number of them I see in my shop (at least the Home Depot models) looking for warranty repairs (we don't work on them) I'd say no.

I use some of them on a industrial basis, I prefer them to most others. It really depends on what you are looking at though.

For drills, Dewalt for the way they balance and strength. I just picked up a new small 12v Li drill and could not be happier.
Porter cable for just about everything else.
Milwaukee if your really rough on tools.
any of the name brands are really good though.

I've got a few power tools from 'em and never have had any problems, despite using the reciprocating saw to chop up the smaller bits of a 30 foot oak.

Dewalt XRP is really rugged, but heavy.

Bosch is well-designed and mostly made in places other than China.

My compound miter saw has been great. No complaints. I had a 12 volt Dewalt drill that was shot after 2-3 years of light use. I have a shop full of many of the big name brand power tools. Dewalt, Ridgid, Bosch, Delta, Porter Cable, Shop Fox. The majority are Ridgid though. My personal experience has been great with that brand.
