Model it in a real modeling package... Autocad is the worst program for modeling. Did you try saving it as a different format? STEP, IGS, etc..., never mind that wont help, Autocad sucks.... EDIT: Spelling and Clarification. |

EDIT: Spelling you're right, doesn't help at all AutoCAD 2007 is what I got. noone is offering the latest SolidWorks to me
the part is drawn, it was easy enough, its just a minor technicality of wanting to reset the part to the World UCS (which can't be changed) this can be done, I have done it before, I just cant find it in F1, google or my notes |

Command UCS, option W. Then try the ALIGN command. Pick point 1 on the object, enter 0,0,0. Pick point 2, enter 1,0,0. Pick point 3, enter 0,1,0. Alternately, you can use the ROTATE command in the top view (use the Reference option to pick two points, and hit F8 for Ortho mode so the angle you pick is square with the World UCS). Then do the same thing in the front view, and then the right side view, and it will be all squared up with the world. |
