I am looking for a new sling. I need one that uses the quick detach points that are 1.25 inch I think.
The Larue Sling has them, and I have been looking at that as an option. But with the extra adapter to go onto the rail, I am looking at $100 or so for the sling, shipped. Any other ideas that have those ends, with the same design that is cheaper? Or, what do you prefer to use? |

Isn't the LaRue just a rebadged padded VTAC?
Looking at pictures, I can't really tell the difference between the LaRue I have and a VTAC. The VTACs run about $40, and you should be able to get the quick release swivels for around $12. That will save you a few bucks, but you won't get the extra goodies that come with your LaRue order. |

Take a look at the Husky Amentum Slider Sling made by Ares Armor. I tried all of the slings mentioned, plus a few others, and find this one works very well. Not bulky. no loose ends flopping around, does not require grasping a tab to adjust but uses a loop instead. The loop is great if you hands are cold,injured, very fast and easy to use.
