I am looking for a new sling. I need one that uses the quick detach points that are 1.25 inch I think.

The Larue Sling has them, and I have been looking at that as an option. But with the extra adapter to go onto the rail, I am looking at $100 or so for the sling, shipped.

Any other ideas that have those ends, with the same design that is cheaper?

Or, what do you prefer to use?

Lookk into the Vickers sling by Blue force gear or the gear sector slings.

Personally, I'm simply mad about the M1907 slings:

Got 'em on practically every rifle I own, even the Fudd guns.

I'm a big fan of the Brownell's latigo leather sling.

Isn't the LaRue just a rebadged padded VTAC?

Looking at pictures, I can't really tell the difference between the LaRue I have and a VTAC.  The VTACs run about $40, and you should be able to get the quick release swivels for around $12.

That will save you a few bucks, but you won't get the extra goodies that come with your LaRue order.

Right now it would be my Tab Gear sling.

Take a look at the Husky Amentum Slider Sling made by Ares Armor. I tried all of the slings mentioned, plus a few others, and find this one works very well. Not bulky. no loose ends flopping around, does not require grasping a tab to adjust but uses a loop instead. The loop is great if you hands are cold, injured, very fast and easy to use.

Their motto  " War is Hell, dress appropriately."

This
The old school blackhawk three point that scratches the gun its on of not careful, but still my favorite.
Spectre gear (i think) copy of both above also is good stuff. No single points, none can hold the rifle
in a reasonable position.
