[ARCHIVED THREAD] - The Cheesecake Factory (Page 1 of 2)

Quoted: Quoted: I've been there about 4 times and never had dessert. Blasphemy!! Do you not know the name of the restaurant???? I'm just not real big on dessert. Never have been, unless Mom is making banana cream pie or strawberry rhubarb pie. It's probably been 4 or 5 years since I even had ice cream in my freezer. Maybe when I finish P90X I'll treat myself... if so, I'll get a picture. |
| We have to hit TCF everytime we are in a city with one. The problem is, I'm sick to my stomach everytime I leave. The portions are so huge, plus the bread. And I have to eat all of my cheesecake, because I'm a fat ass. So friggin good though. Buffalo Blasts ftmfw. |

Quoted: I hear ya. I've been trying to eat more healthy, too. The pounds pack on too easily. Quoted: Quoted: I've been there about 4 times and never had dessert. Blasphemy!! I've only been once in my life –– we went there with the whole family and then some after I received my second Master's degree. I liked it a lot, but there aren't any close by here and when I'm back up there (B'ham) I always have other places more convenient and less expensive that I'd rather go. ![]() But I certainly wouldn't be averse to going there again if someone wanted to... |

I went to one in L.A. near Beverly hills, ate some chicken fried rice in a big bowl..met Darryl Hannah there too. Did you leave her a good tip for what I assume was decent service? My wife enjoys that Reese's Peanut Butter cake-of-death deal they have. Edit: Personally, I'm just a fan of their club sandwich and their carrot cake/cheesecake. |

We make our own - Well worth it - only costs about 10-15 bucks

I can't stand Cheesecake Factory.
I think the food is on par with Chilis or Applebees. The menu is HUGE with advertisements. The wait to be seated is always long, service is usually pretty poor. I've been to more than one so it's not just my location that is bad. I don't like cheesecake, my girlfriend does and she hasn't been impressed with their cheesecake. |

Those look GOOD! I've made plenty of cheesecakes, and they turn out really good. But I seem to be the one who enjoys them the most, and my ass doesn't need that much of a cheesecake. Unless it's the holidays when I know I'll have a bunch of people over the help eat it, then it's easier for me to just go buy a piece of deliciousness. I can never finish them there anyway. I usually eat half, then bring the other half home. It's probably a good thing that I only make it to TCF once or twice a year at most. ![]() |
I was there once and never plan on going back. The food was kind of meh, I could get better food at applebees or bob evans. The cheesecake was about the same, I bet I could buy better at the supermarket; no bake jello instant cheesecake kicks their ass any day of the week. And on top of that the had us packed in like sardines, the tables were all row to row 2 feet apart from each other. I could follow along with both conversations on either side of our table
