I got the Hiker II model in the Nubuck. Anyhow when I get them on they are comfy. They dont have an insole. They have a piece of plastic insert. Strange... Anyways I cant get these on for the life of me. When I finally do, they are comfortable. It is like wrestling in the WWF, Im sweating and getting a workout trying to get these bastards on. The tongue where it meets with the upper boot seems it needs to be about 1/2" - 1" lower if that makes sense. Anyone else have this issue? I called Danner and they told me that alot of people take them to a shoe repair shop to have them customized. I told them I wasnt going to do that. They finally relented and told me I could send them in for them to "take a look" at them. Again, anyone else have this issue with their Danners? |
I've always had great results with Danner Customer service. They email me the fed ex prepaid label. had to send that pair back again, because they fucked up and sent me back the same model boot i returned instead of sending the exchange pair  they emailed me another label. I called and asked what they could do for me since it ot fucked up.. lady said how about 2 day air return shipping... cool with me.I'd just exchange them for a different model. I'd recommend the explorer if you like the shorter boot, or you cant go wrong with the hood winter lights. That's what I have as my final pair, as I didn't like where the shorter explorers rubbed my ancle. |

His next suggestion was I could take a utlity knife andd cut the tongue seperating it from the upper about an inch or so. I told him no way I was going to take a utility knife to my new boots. So he finally said send them to us and we'll "take a look at them" They did sen d me a return slip so I can return them on their dime. So no complaints yet. I was just wondering if anyone else was having similar issues as me with not necessarily the fit but with a narrow opening to fit your foot into. |

My fort Lewis from the sale are the best shoes/boots I've ever owned.
I never wanted to pay 300$ for a pair of boots s I never tried them...after getting these in the sale for 150$, they now have a customer for life. I will buy future pairs at full price if I have to |
