I have the evo shift. Its a company phone so I can't download anything that will

Cost money. Also. My company email is synced with phone.

I would love to get rid of weather app as it is never accurate and other apps that are

Locked into the phone. Would rooting mess up my email or affect the bill?

Thanks and which free app should I use to do this?

don't root a company phone unless you want IT up your ass...

from the home screen:

menu>settings>accounts/sync and uncheck the box to sync weather...you should stop getting notifications

Nobody will know it rooted but you.
Unsync the weather app.

Buy your own phone and set it up as you wish.

I rooted my company phone and nobody knows about it except the IT guy.
