If he wants ANY chance at re-election he wont touch this issue. I dont doubt that its on his second term agenda. That's one of many reasons why we HAVE to win in 2012.
ETA: Ive never read so much STOOPID as in that article. Maybe he just wants to resume his role as a gun salesman.

He knows nothing will pass through the house.
I have a feeling he's going to try to use this to freighten the so called "moderate" voters. Paint the republicans as exreme right wing gun nuts that refuse to pass "common sense" gun laws. Will it work? Only time will tell.
