I am a long way from my rifle but have some questions that could use some input...

While on leave I put together my first AR:
Spikes complete lower W/Bullet Button
AA elite tactical upper with free float barrel
Mag was a 10 rounder, cannot remember the maker but it had a really stiff spring.

I lubed the ever living hell out of my rifle prior to range day, to include the buffer spring, tube, etc, along with shooting a bit of oil in the mag.
I fired over 150 rounds of FMJ 5.56 and had a few issues...

the rifle went BANG every damn time, no key-holing or other issues which was great but I had a period where the rifle did not want to feed the second round out of the magazine
The problem started half-way throug the day and it repeated it's self four or five mags in a row then went away but it left me scratching my head:

all 10 rounds loaded in the Mag,
first round fed and fired, but the second round nose jammed into the ramps on the way in and had to be cleared. I tried my friend's mag and it did the same thing. the roudns fired between 1 and two were same manufacturer so it just seemed odd.

any ideas what could cause this?

What is your barrel length and what gas system are you running?  Where were the cases ejecting?  Was there any marks on the case of the jammed round from the BCG?

16" Barrel, Adams Arms piston system This one

the only marks on the jammed rounds were on the pullets themselves from what I could see, no gouges or dents what so ever.

All ejections semed to be flying to the 4 or 5 oclock but I was having way to much attention having fun shooting. you could see the brass marks on the deflector just as I would expect to see them.
At the end of the day there was not much as far as brass shavings or odd wear in the upper or on the Bolt/BCG
