Our Governor, Jerry Brown outlined his budget plan. The local paper, the Orange County Register had a spread on the front page and listed a $1.4 Billion cut for Higher Education, a $4.4 Billion cut for Social Services, $3 Billion from Redevelopment Agencies, $9 Billion from extended tax increases, and........$563.8 BILLION from Corrections...... I guess the paper was short a proof reader... but if you're not talking Billions in CA, you're wasting your breath. |
