I couldn't think of a better place to post this topic.
I used to work at a manufacturing center for a large oil field parts producer. My job allowed me to move around to different areas of the plant during my work shift. One day I stopped off at the shipping dock (30+ employees during a shift) because I had to use their bathroom. While I was in a stall "meditating" about the breakfast that I had eaten, I noticed a Polaroid camera hanging off of the hook inside of the stall door. I couldn't figure out why it was there so when I was done I went out and asked one of the crew what the deal was with it. He told me that the shipping dock dayshift crew held a weekly contest for who could crap out the longest unbroken turd. Everyone would put $5 in a jar on Monday and throughout the week as a potential winner was dropped out it would be photographed with the Polaroid. On Friday the pictures would be compared, the winner would be declared and that person would get the money. The lead man on the dock said that it had been going on for several years and said that I was welcome to join in like it was something that everyone did. That is one of the stranger things that I encountered in anyplace that I have worked. Biggest deer or biggest fish, sure, but biggest doo-doo? Anyone else seen/participated in something similar? Oh and I know that this is a poop thread. |
