I have ran into a problem with my desktop saying that my copy of windows is not genuine. I was part of the student software so i got it for free, but after installing it onto my desktop it says the product key is not valid.
Could anyone PM me a serial key for Win 7 Ultimate? Or atleast help me resolve this problem. Thanks Folks. |

Yea i just called them and they told me piss off. LOL I think they have people like myself calling up everyday trying to get a key for free, but this is for real damnit!.They said i need to get in touch with whoever gave me the licence...problem is they are out of the CG. FML
Oh well thanks fellas |

Quoted: Quoted: fail. if someone did that, their key would suddenly stop working. take it up with whoever your copy came from. Fail. You can use the key 7 times before anything arises. No you fail. One key is good for one PC at a time. Your asking someone to break the law and give you a cracked key or do something worse and give up their own key. asking for help to do illegal shit i think is against COC. wether you realize its illegal or not. |

The Students Steals and Deals was an upgrade if you did a clean install format before putting the windows 7 disc in or new hard drive or nuked the drive you have to install windows XP or Vista then insert the Windows 7 disc and do a format from with in the windows 7 install.
Edit for reading fail what i wrote above is true but does not effect you it seems. Edit 2 the MSDN AA is for Windows 7 pro not ultimate..... |

Thanks Folks. it doesn't work that way, and anyone that sends you THEIR key for your stolen software will wind up invalidating their own installation, when Microsoft notices. If you got it legitimately, return to the source and get your key. |

So...is your copy of Windows legit? Where did you get it? Don't contact Microsoft unless you bought the retail product. If you got it from your school, contact the school. Thats the problem....i got it at my A school and the guy that did this for our class is now out of the military. Sorry for causing such a shit storm. |

Buy a new copy or even better, get an MSDN subscription and then you can have all the software you want
ETA: IBTL MSDN is nice, but its not a free for all on software. You only get so many licenses for each product and there are a lot of restrictions on how you can use it. For the price, its only worth it if you use a lot of microsoft products. Getting it for windows and office is a waste since its a yearly subscription. I only have one becuase I use 10+ products for work and my employers pays my subscription. |

Fuck it next paycheck ill just pony up and buy a new one. You can get a trial of Enterprise edition here- good for 90 days. This will give you plenty of time to straighten things out. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/cc442495.aspx You can extend to 4 months http://windowssecrets.com/2009/08/20/01-Use-any-version-of-Windows-7-free-for-120-days |

A little off topic but I have a similar problem.
I have a laptop that came pre-installed with Windows 7 and Office. I didn't use it much but for some reason I went to use word or excel and it stated I needed to enter the key that was on the laptop. Well, I found the little Windows sticker and it was on the bottom of the laptop and pretty much wore out and unreadable. If I were to contact Microsoft is there anything they could do? |

It's $500 for a year subscription but covers the operating systems, visual studio, SQL, and some servers. |
